Through the Thorns

The last collection of photos I have here are from a "swamp walk." Basically Ryan and his friends wanted to go visit a nature spot. We ended up getting pretty reasonably deep into the thorny brush and it hurt, but it was also pretty fun. This is arguably the "realest" wildlife photography I got on this trip. Some of my favorite photos from this trip too.

Here's a snake we saw. It slithered away real quick.

We saw this little fish, it was hard to see in the photo though (center frame).

This is the structure that crawfish build and live in. They're made of mud.

These wild blackberries were pretty tart but also refreshing during a humid and sweaty march through the woods.

We found this cocoon thing hanging from a tree, and we were unable to figure out what it was. Looked like a little black worm type thing coming out of this almost "bee body" shape.

And finally, here is a well preserved snake skeleton.
