Audobon Aquarium

Inside the same building as the Insectarium, there is another section dedicated to marine life- the Audubon Aquarium. It was a great visit seeing alligators, fish, sharks, rays, penguins, turtles and more. Again I will not be able to label each species.

In the very beginning there is a huge wall with a display of some jellyfish that I thought was just soooo beautiful, here is a brief clip of what I saw.

Jellyfish Video

Here is a white alligator, both huge and beautiful. NOTE: this isn't a case of Albinism (albino) it is actually Leucism

Here is a normal colored baby gator.

This is an American Paddlefish, they have a big mouth and nose.

Here is a clip of the hawk screeching. It was still audible from one room over.

Real life banana plant!

I thought the difference of the white balance here was interesting. Made it look kinda magical. At least T-shirt worthy.

After the aquarium, we visited the French Quarter to get a bite to eat and visit a few shops.

These silicon rings had a 94 year warranty. Even the shop owners(?) didn't know why it was a thing.

We ended up at Acme Oyster House. I had a good crab corn soup.
